The Omaha Mavericks snapped their 4-game losing streak and improved to 13-14 (6-6 Summit) on the season after defeating the Denver Pioneers, 85-62, this past Sunday. Omaha went into halftime with a 39-28 lead and was able to put the game away after a 9-0 Mavericks run gave Omaha a 58-42 lead with 10:41 left in regulation. Omaha shot 54.0% from the field and outrebounded Denver by a 37-27 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Mavericks was Matt Pile who had a double-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and a block.

The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 12-16 (5-8 Summit) on the season after being defeated by the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, 75-64, this past Sunday. Purdue Fort Wayne went into halftime with a 36-26 lead, however, was outplayed on both ends of the court by the Jackrabbits in the 2nd half and couldn’t fight back after a 33-5 Jackrabbits run to start the 2nd half gave South Dakota State a 59-41 lead with 9:45 left in regulation. Purdue Fort Wayne allowed South Dakota State to shoot 50.0% from the field while the Mastodons shot just 37.5% from the field and 24.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Mastodons was Matt Holba who had 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists.

The Mavericks are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games, however, are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. Purdue Fort Wayne. The Mastodons are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 February games and 5-6 ATS at home this season.
Omaha has been led by their offense that comes into this game ranked 104th in scoring offense & 93rd in FG%, however, the Mavericks have struggled defensively and currently rank just 320th in scoring defense & 272nd in defensive FG%.
Purdue Fort Wayne comes into this match-up ranked 226th in scoring offense, 222nd in scoring defense, and 93rd in steals per game.
Omaha picked up a much needed win agianst Denver, however, the Mavericks have really struggled on the road this season, coming into this game with just a 2-12 record. Purdue Fort Wayne has split their last 6 games, and between the fact that the Mastodons are 9-4 at home and that I think their three-point shooting will have success at home agianst the Mavericks defense, I’m taking Purdue Fort Wayne to cover this small spread.
