The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (14-10, CONF 8-7) and Idaho Vandals (7-18, CONF 3-11) face off in a Big Sky Conference showdown at the Kittle Dome. The Lumberjacks and Vandals faced off in early February with Northern Arizona coming away with a five-point victory.
The Lumberjacks currently sit with a 5-6 record straight up on the road, but overall they have won only two of their last five games.
In the Lumberjacks last game the offense had an outburst putting up 82 points against Southern Utah. On offense the Lumberjacks are led by guard Cameron Shelton who is averaging 14.2 points per game. Over the last five games Northern Arizona’s defense is giving up 78.6 points and the defense needs to be better.
The Vandals come into this game having lost three of the last four games and eight of the last ten. In the Vandals last game it was the defense that let them down, giving up 90 points against Portland State.
The offensive end for the Vandals hasn’t always been super productive averaging only 63.7 points per game overall.
Idaho is 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 games against the Big Sky. The Lumberjacks are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Thursday games. The over is 7-1 in the Lumberjacks last eight games as a road favorite.
The Lumberjacks put up 82 points in their last game and this should be another one where they run up the score. It’s a lean to the Lumberjacks to cover the spread, but the strong play is with the over.
Shane’s Pick Over 138
