The Northern Kentucky Norse (19-8, CONF 11-4) and Cleveland State Vikings (10-17, CONF 6-8) face off in a Horizon League showdown at Wolstein Center. The Norse knocked off the Vikings by 26 points earlier this season.
The Norse look like a team that could make the NCAA Tournament, and coming into this game they have won five of the last six games. In Northern Kentucky’s last game they played one of their worst games of the season losing by 30 points to the UIC Flames, when they were 9.5 point favorites.
The Norse are led by Dantez Walton and Tyler Sharpe who are both averaging over 15 points per game. In the game against the Flames, the Norse’s offense really struggled, and will need to be better in this game.
The Vikings are having another bad season, and coming into this game they have won only three of their last ten games. In Cleveland State’s last game they knocked off Detroit Mercy by a point. Away from home this season the Vikings are averaging 67.3 points per game while the defense is giving up over 70 points.
When the Vikings lost to the Norse earlier this season, the defense struggled giving up 75 points and that led to the blowout loss.
The Vikings are 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 home games. The under is 11-3 in the Norse last 14 road games.
The Vikings probably won’t win this game, but they are going to give a better effort at home. Cleveland State will find enough offensive production to keep this game close enough to cover the spread.
