The Missouri State Bears (13-14, CONF 7-7) and Bradley Braves (18-9, CONF 9-5) face off in a Missouri Valley Conference showdown at Carver Arena. The Braves knocked off the Bears 91-78 in the middle of January.
The Bears have been inconsistent at best this year, but coming into this game they have won three of the last four games. Over the last two games Missouri State is giving up an average of 60 points per game, and that strong defense needs to continue if they want a chance to come away with a win.
The Bears are led by Keandre Cook who is averaging 14.6 points while shooting 42.2 percent from the floor. The first time the Bears played the Braves, Cook put up 22 points in 27 minutes.
The Braves have been the better team this season, but much like the Bears they have been inconsistent. Bradley comes into this game having won three games in a row, but the scoring has been down averaging only 64.2 points per game over the last five.
At home this season Bradley is averaging 75 points while shooting 47 percent from the field. Elijah Childs and Darrell Brown are both averaging over 14 points per game for the Bears and the offense was strong the first time they knocked off the Bears.
The under is 17-8 in the Bears last 25 road games. The Braves are 22-6 in their last 28 road games. Bradley is 35-16-2 in their last 53 home games.
The Braves dominated the Bears in the first game of the season and it will happen again. Bradley’s offense will run up the score and it will lead to an easy cover by the home team.
Shane’s Pick Bradley -6
