Mount St. Mary’s led by a 29-20 margin at halftime, however, the Mountaineers had no answers for the Red Flash on either end of the court in the 2nd half and couldn’t fight back after St. Francis (PA) took a 61-53 lead with 3:21 left in regulation. The Wagner Seahawks lost their 7th consecutive game and dropped to 5-19 (2-11 NEC) on the season after being defeated by the Merrimack Warriors, 68-59, this past Saturday. Wagner struggled defensively against the Warriors and allowed Merrimack to pull away for the victory after the Warriors took a 65-52 lead with just 3:39 left in regulation. Wagner allowed Merrimack to shoot 50.0% from the field and 58.3% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Seahawks was Curtis Cobb III who had 26 points, 2 rebounds, and an assist.

Mount St. Mary’s has struggled as of late and didn’t have much success at home earlier this season agianst the Seahawks, as the Mountaineers lost by a 66-47 margin. Wagner has had a season to forget, however, the Seahawks were competitive against the conference leading Merrimack Warriors and as I expect Mount St. Mary’s offense to struggled offensively on the road, I’m going to take the home team and the point in this one. Good Luck!
