The Central Michigan Chippewas(13-11, CONF 6-5) and Ohio Bobcats (12-13, CONF 4-8) face off in a MAC showdown at The Convocation Center. The Chippewas have won the last seven games over the Bobcats.
The Chippewas were playing pretty well to start conference play, but they have lost three games in a row and the biggest reason has been the offense struggling. On the season the Chippewas are averaging almost 77 points per game, but they haven’t broken 70 points in any of the last three games.
The Chippewas use a balanced scoring attack with three guys scoring over 14 points per game.
On defense, it’s been a struggle for the Chippewas who are giving up 78.1 points and letting opponents shoot 47 percent from the field.
The Bobcats have had plenty of struggles this season, but they have won two of the last three games.
In the last game the Bobcats defense really struggled giving up 87 points which led to a 15 point loss. The Bobcats offense is averaging 69.3 points, but at home that number rises 74.4 points. If the Bobcats want to come away with a big win in this game, the defense is going to need to find a way to play a lot better.
In this game if the Bobcats defense is good, they should have a strong chance to come away with a win.
The under is 7-3 in the Chippewas last 10 games overall. Over is 7-2 in the Chippewas last nine Tuesday games.
The Bobcats defense struggled in the last game, and against a good offensive team it’s going to happen again. Even on the road, the Chippewas should find a way to win the game, but take the points to be safe.
