The Quinnipiac Bobcats will travel to Alumni Gymnasium (Rider) to take on the Rider Broncos this Sunday afternoon in College Basketball action.

The Quinnipiac Bobcats lost their 4th straight game and dropped to 11-12 (6-7 MAAC) on the season after being defeated by the Saint Peter’s Peacocks, 84-72, this past Friday. Quinnipiac had no answers defensively for the Peacocks and couldn’t fight back after falling behind by a 38-20 margin at halftime. Quinnipiac shot 47.2% from the field, however, allowed Saint Peter’s to shoot 52.6% from the field and 50.0% from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Bobcats was Kevin Marfo who had a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.

On the season, Quinnipiac is averaging 69.7 ppg on 42.1% shooting from the field. The Bobcats are averaging 10.1 three-pointers per game on 35.9% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Quinnipiac has been led by Rich Kelly (16.1 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 4.7 apg), Tyrese Williams (10.6 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.1 apg), and Kevin Marfo (10.2 ppg, 13.2 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.0 bpg).

Defensively, Quinnipiac is allowing their opponents to average 70.8 ppg on 42.5% shooting from the field. The Bobcats have a rebound margin of 2.0 and a turnover margin of -4.3.

The Riders Broncs had their 2-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 14-10 (8-6 MAAC) on the season after being defeated by the Siena Saints, 73-64, this past Friday. Rider came out flat on both ends of the court against the Saints and couldn’t fight back after going into halftime trailing by a 39-17 margin. Rider allowed Siena to shoot 51.9% from the field, while the Broncs shot just 21.7% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Broncs was Frederick Scott who had 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists.

On the season, Rider is averaging 72.3 ppg on 43.9% shooting from the field. The Broncs are averaging 6.5 three-pointers per game on 33.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Rider has been led by Dimencio Vaughn (14.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.4 spg), Frederick Scott (13.0 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.5 apg), and Stevie Jordan (11.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.1 apg, 1.5 spg).

Defensively, Rider is allowing their opponents to average 70.7 ppg on 43.4% shooting from the field. The Broncs have a rebound margin of 5.2 and a turnover margin of -0.5.

The Bobcats are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Broncs are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games, however, are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Sunday games.

Quinnipiac comes into this game ranked 225th in scoring offense, 262nd in FG%, and 217th in scoring defense.

Rider comes into this game 139th in scoring offense, 214th in scoring defense, and 38th in rebound margin.

Rider has no answers for the Quinnipiac earlier this season in an 80-61 loss on the road, however the Broncos are a much better team at home, posting an 8-1 record at home with their last three home games by an average of 10 ppg. Quinnipiac has lost 7 of their last 9 games and as I think their going to struggle in this one, I’m taking Rider to cover this mid-range spread. Good Luck!
