Brown (11-8) at Princeton (10-9)
College Basketball: Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 6:00 pm (L. Stockwell Jadwin Gymnasium)
The Line: Princeton -- Over/Under:
The Brown Bears (12-8, CONF 5-2) and Princeton Tigers (10-10, CONF 5-2) face off in an Ivy League showdown at the Jadwin Gym. The Bears have won the last two games played between the two teams.
The Bears come into this game hot having won five games in a row, and who knows, this could be a tournament team this year. The stats don’t jump off the page for Brown, but they have done enough to get the job done.
Away from home, the Bears offense isn’t great averaging only 62.7 points and shooting 25.6 percent from deep.
On Friday night, the Bears started out slow against Penn, but they put up 46 points in the second half which led to a 12 point victory.
The Tigers have to be very disappointed with their showing on Friday night. Princeton had a terrible defensive game against Yale giving up 88 points and that led to a 24 point loss. Coming into the game the Tigers were giving up only 65.5 points per game at home, so the defensive performance was a real concern.
The Tigers offense uses a balanced attack, with three players scoring over 12 points. Jaelin Llewellyn is Princeton’s leading scorer, putting up 14.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.
The Brown have really struggled to cover spreads on the road doing so only once in their last nine games.
The under is 21-6 in the Bears last 27 road games. The under is 12-4-2 in the Bears last 18 Saturday games.
Princeton looked bad on Friday night, and the Bears have all kinds of confidence heading into this game. They haven’t been great against the spread on the road, but this is a game where the Bears are going to figure it out.
