Northeastern raced out to 10-0 lead to start off the game and had no trouble cruised to victory after taking a 44-26 lead with 16:06 left in regulation. Northeastern shot 48.0% from the field and outrebounded UNC-Wilmington by a 36-31 margin in the victory. The Cougars are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games, however, are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games against Northeastern. Northeastern is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games and 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games at home.
Charleston comes into this game ranked 181st in scoring offense, 146th in FG%, and 135th in scoring defense.
Northeastern comes into this match-up ranked 141st in scoring offense, 23rd in FG%, and 118th in scoring defense.
Charleston has one of the best players in the CAA in Grant Riller, however, Northeastern is the more balanced team and I think has a slight edge with their efficient offense. These games are generally pretty close, however, as Northeastern was able to defeat the Cougars on the road earlier this season and that I haven’t been impressed with how the Cougars have looked in their last two games against Elon & Hofstra, I think Northeastern does enough to cover this small home spread. Good Luck!
