Chattanooga led by a 39-26 margin at halftime and had no trouble pulling away for the victory after a 9-0 Mocs run gave Chattanooga a 66-44 lead with 8:32 left in regulation. Chattanooga shot 49.1% from the field and outrebounded VMI by a 39-25 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Mocs was Ramon Vila who had 23 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

Defensively, Chattanooga is allowing their opponent to average 68.2 ppg on 44.6% shooting from the field. The Mocs have a rebound margin of 2.6 and a turnover margin of -0.3.
The Furman Paladins won their 6th consecutive game and improved to 21-5 (11-2 Southern) on the season after defeating the Samford Bulldogs, 86-71, this past Wednesday. Furman was able to get anything they wanted offensively agianst the Bulldogs and had no trouble pulling away for the victory after taking a 62-43 lead with 12:25 left in regulation. Furman shot 51.7% from the field and 53.8% from beyond the arc in the victory. Leading the way for the Paladins was Clay Mounce who had 25 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.
On the season, Furman is averaging 78.3 ppg on 48.3% shooting from the field. The Paladins are averaging 10.0 three-pointers per game on 36.4% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Furman has been led by Jordan Lyons (17.4 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 2.2 apg, 1.3 spg), Noah Gurley (14.0 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.0 apg), and Clay Mounce (13.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.6 spg).
Defensively, Furman is holding their opponents to an average of 66.4 ppg on 43.8% shooting from the field. The Paladins have a rebound margin of -2.3 and a turnover margin of 4.5.
The Mocs are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Paladins are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games agianst Chattanooga.
Chattanooga comes into this game ranked 130th in scoring offense, 90th in FG%, and 148th in scoring defense.
Furman has been outstanding on both ends of the court and come into this game ranked 25th in scoring offense, 12th in FG%, and T-92nd in scoring defense.
Chattanooga has split their last 8 games, however, the Mocs have struggled against the better teams in the Southern Conference as in their four games against Furman, UNC Greensboro, and ETSU, the Mocs are 0-4 with the losses coming at an average of 13.5 ppg. Furman should have no problem scoring at will agianst a Chattanooga defense that ranks just 263rd in defensive FG% and as the Paladins are 11-1 at home, I think the Furman covers this double digit spread. Good Luck!
