The Omaha Mavericks and the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles meet in college basketball action from Mabee Center on Wednesday.
Omaha enters this one at 12-13 thus far. After winning consecutive games over Western IL and Fort Wayne, the Mavericks have lost three straight to South Dakota, ND State and SD State.
In the loss to the Jackrabbits, Omaha’s KJ Robinson led the team on 20 points with three assists. Marlon Ruffin added 14 points and four rebounds there, and Matt Pile doubled up on 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Over on the Oral Roberts side, they’re 12-12 this year. The Eagles are 1-4 in the last five games, beating Denver while dropping to South Dakota, SD State, North Dakota and ND State.
In the loss to the Bison, Oral Roberts’ Deondre Burns led the way on 26 points. Kevin Obanor added 20 points with eight rebounds in that one, and Max Abmas put up 17 points with five rebounds and one assist.
The Eagles are 1-4 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games. Oral Roberts is 0-4-1 ATS in their last five overall and the over is 9-4 in their last 13 overall.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks are 1-7 ATS in their last eight road games and 0-7 ATS in their last seven overall. Omaha is 0-6 ATS in their last six after an ATS loss and the over is 6-1 in their last seven overall.
Omaha has been coughing up a ton of points on the defensive end lately; at least 81 in each of their last three games, in fact. The Mavericks have done fairly well when it comes to scoring, but they simply can’t keep up.
As for Oral Roberts, they’ve been below 69 in two of their last four games, but in general they’re a pretty solid offensive team and should put up some good numbers here. I’m going Eagles on the cover.
