The Oakland Golden Grizzlies will travel to the Nutter Center to take on the Wright State Raiders this Saturday night in College Basketball action.
The Oakland Golden Grizzlies dropped to 8-16 (3-8 Horizon) on the season after being defeated by the Northern Kentucky Norse, 73-70, this past Thursday night. Oakland gave the double-digit favored Norse all they could handle on their home court, however, couldn’t pull off the upset victory after committing a costly turnover in the final seconds when trailing by just a 71-70 margin. Oakland shot 48.1% from the field, however, did loss the turnover battle by a 13-4 margin in the lost. Leading the way for the Golden Grizzlies was Rashad Williams who had 34 points, 1 rebound, and 3 assists.

Defensively, Oakland is allowing their opponents to an average of 68.8 ppg on 41.5% shooting from the field. The Golden Grizzlies have a rebound margin of 0.2 and a turnover margin of -2.0.
The Wright State Raiders improved to 20-5 (10-2 Horizon) on the season after defeating the Detroit Mercy Titans, 98-86, this past Thursday night. Wright State has no trouble putting up points agianst the Detroit Mercy defense and had no trouble hanging on for the victory after taking a 58-36 lead with 16:35 left in regulation. Wright State shot 57.6% from the field and 50.0% from beyond the arc in the victory. Leading the way for the Raiders was Bill Wampler who had 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The Golden Grizzlies are 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 road games and 15-7 ATS in their last 22 Saturday games. The Raiders are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game, however, are just 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
Oakland has lost 8 of their last 10 games and have really struggled offensively this season as the Golden Grizzlies rank just 311st in scoring offense, 260th in FG%, and 323rd in 3P-FG%.
Wright State has won 5 of their last 6 games and have been led by their offense which comes into this game ranked 7th in scoring offense, 74th in FG%, and 48th in 3P FG%.
It’s been a tough year for the Oakland Grizzlies, however, they’ve been competitive on the road in conference play this season which included their solid performance at Northern Kentucky in their last outing. Oakland’s offense recently got a huge boost with Rashad Williams back in the lineup and as I think the Grizzlies defense will be able to keep the Raiders offense somewhat in check, I’m taking Oakland to cover with the points in this one. Good Luck!
