The Green Bay Phoenix and the UIC Flames meet in college basketball action from UIC Pavilion on Saturday.
Green Bay enters this one at 12-13 so far. After consecutive losses to Youngstown State and Northern Kentucky, the Phoenix has gotten two consecutive wins over Wright State and IUPUI.
In the win over the Jaguars, Green Bay’s Amari Davis put up 22 points with six rebounds and one assist. JayQuan McCloud also had a nice line there with 20 points, two steals, six assists and two rebounds.
Over on the UIC side, they’re 11-14 this year. Following consecutive victories over Youngstown State and Cleveland State, the Flames fell on Thursday 74-57 to Milwaukee.
In the loss to Milwaukee, UIC’s lead scorer was Tarkus Ferguson with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists. Michael Diggins was also in double-digits there with 11 points and four rebounds.
UIC is 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine after a straight-up loss. The Flames are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven overall and the under is 19-7 in their last 26 home games.
Meanwhile, the Phoenix are 2-5 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 5-1 ATS in their last six road games. The over is 5-1 in Green Bay’s last six overall and 10-2 in their last 12 road games.
Green Bay’s offense has been running at a nice clip lately, and that’s why they’ve posted a solid 5-2 line over their last seven games. In their last pair combined, the Phoenix have logged 183 points.
UIC has had some nice offensive output themselves lately, like 90 points versus Youngstown State and 80 versus Oakland. This should be an entertaining game, but I like the Phoenix a little bit better on the cover right now.
