The SIU-Edwardsville Cougars lost their 4th straight game and dropped to 5-19 (2-9 OVC) on the season after being defeated by the Morehead State Eagles, 58-49, this past Thursday night. SIU-Edwardsville struggled on the offensive end throughout the game and although their defense kept it competitive in the 1st half, however, the Cougars allowed Morehead State to pull away for the victory after the allowing the Eagles to shoot 59% from the field in the 2nd half. SIU-Edwardsville shot just 30.4% from the field and 5.9% from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Cougars was Zeke Moore who had 13 points and 7 rebounds.
On the season, SIU-Edwardsville is averaging 66.0 ppg on 42.7% shooting from the field. The Cougars are averaging 5.5 three-pointers per game on 30.6% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, SIU-Edwardsville has been led by Zeke Moore (13.0 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.7 apg), Cameron Williams (10.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.5 apg, 1.2 spg0, and Tyresse Williford (10.1 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 4.0 apg, 1.5 spg).

The Colonels are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS win. The Cougars are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following an ATS loss.
Eastern Kentucky has won 8 of their last 9 games and although their fast paced style of play as their scoring defensive ranked just 319th in scoring defense, the Colonels so come into this game ranked 65th in scoring offense, 6th in steals per game, and 10th in turnover margin.
SIU-Edwardsville has lost 9 of their last 10 games and has struggled on both ends of the court as the Cougars currently rank just 300th in scoring offense & 272nd in scoring defense.
Eastern Kentucky hasn’t played the tougher conference schedule to date, but there is no denying their offense has been outstanding as of late, as the Colonels are averaging 85.5 ppg during their 6-game winning streak. SIU-Edwardsville is just 3-7 at home this season and as I just don’t see how the Cougars offense will be able to keep up with the Colonels, I’m taking Eastern Kentucky to cover this small road spread. Good Luck!
