The James Madison Dukes and the Drexel Dragons meet in CAA college basketball action from Daskalakis Athletic Center on Thursday night.

The Drexel Dragons will be out to snap a three-game losing streak after an 80-72 loss to Delaware last time out. Camren Wynter led the Dragons with 22 points with a pair of threes, a team-high 4 assists and a pair of steals while James Butler added 18 points on 8 of 13 shooting with 16 rebounds and 3 assists for the double-double and Zach Walton added 10 points to finish off the trio of double-digit scorers for Drexel in the losing effort. Wynter leads Drexel in scoring and assists with an average of 15.2 points and 5.2 assists per game while Butler leads the Dragons in rebounding with 12 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Drexel is averaging 68.8 points per game on 43.7% shooting from the field, 35% from behind the arc and 71.5% from the foul line this season.

James Madison is 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games while the over is 5-1-1 in their last 7 games following a win. Drexel is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a losing record and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games against a team with a losing road record while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 home games.

I get Drexel being favored at home and the Dragons haven’t had the same struggles that the Dukes have had lately. However, James Madison’s win snapped an eight-game losing skid and maybe that win can help turn some things around for the Dukes going forward. There’s not much to say that Drexel should be this much of a favorite, as the Dragons haven’t been as good on offense in their last 5 games or even since conference play started, so I’ll take a shot with James Madison and the points in this one.
