The George Washington Colonials and the St. Bonaventure Bonnies meet in college basketball action from Reilly Center on Wednesday.
George Washington comes in here at 10-12 this year. The Colonials are 2-2 in their last four games, beating Saint Joseph’s and Davidson while otherwise falling to Fordham and Richmond.
In the loss to the Spiders, George Washington’s only double-digit scorers were Amir Harris and Jameer Nelson, each with 11 points. The duo combined for 18 rebounds and five assists in that one as well.
Over on the Bonnies’ side, they’re 14-8 this year. St. Bonaventure lost three straight to VCU, Dayton and Rhode Island but have won their last pair over Fordham and George Mason.
In the win over the Patriots, St. Bonaventure’s Kyle Lofton posted 17 points with seven assists, and Dominick Welch doubled up on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Justin Winston chipped in 13 points and seven rebounds there also.
The Bonnies are 4-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight home games. St. Bonaventure is 4-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS win and the over is 4-1 in the last five home games.
Meanwhile, the Colonials are 14-6-1 ATS in their last 21 Wednesday games and 4-0 ATS in their last four after a straight-up loss. GW is 6-2 ATS in the last eight overall and the under is 10-1 in the last 11 road games.
George Washington has been pretty solid on offense more often than not during the last six games, posting at least 73 points in four of those outings. That said, the Colonials have also been pretty sporadic this year when it comes to putting up points.
As for the Bonnies, they’ve been at 63 or fewer in three of their last five outings and have been choppy themselves. They’ve faced a few tough opponents in that time, though. All things considered this should be a fun matchup; I’m going Colonials to tough one out.
