The Duquesne Dukes and the Saint Louis Billikens meet in college basketball action from Chaifetz Arena on Wednesday.
The Dukes come in here at 16-5 so far. After falling in three straight to Rhode Island, UMass and Dayton, the Dukes got a win in their last game versus La Salle on Sunday.
In the win over the Explorers, Duquesne’s Marcus Weathers led the way on 18 points with three rebounds and three assists. Both Lamar Norman and Tavian Dunn-Martin scored 12 points apiece, combining for five assists and two rebounds.
Over on the St. Louis side, they’re 17-5 this year. The Billikens have won their last three straight games, taking out Fordham, La Salle and Saint Joseph’s in succession during that time.
In the win over the Hawks, the Billikens’ top scorer was Javonte Perkins with 33 points and four rebounds. Demarius Jacobs added 16 points in that one, and Hasahn French put up 12 points with 13 rebounds.
The Billikens are 1-4 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up win. St. Louis is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall and the over is 11-4 in their last 15 home games.
Meanwhile, the Dukes are 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven Wednesday games. Duquesne is 1-5 ATS in their last six overall and the under is 5-2-1 in their last eight overall.
Duquesne has been pretty underwhelming on the scoreboard over their last six games, hitting 70 points in just one of those outings (71 versus La Salle). The Dukes are just 3-3 in that time, but to their credit they hung around with a really good Dayton team 73-69.
As for St. Louis, they’ve had some offensive stumbles lately but they’ve been over 73 in four of their last six (and also hung around with Dayton 78-76). I like the Billikens to keep it rolling here and cover.
