The Old Dominion Monarchs and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs meet in college basketball action from Thomas Assembly Center on Saturday.
Old Dominion enters this game at 9-13 so far. The Monarchs are 3-1 in the last four games, falling to FIU and otherwise beating Charlotte, Florida Atlantic and Southern Miss in that time.
In the win over the Eagles, Old Dominion’s lead scorer was Malik Curry with 18 points, three assists and one rebound. Anthony Oliver added 17 points with six rebounds there, and Kalu Ezikpe had 10 points with six boards.
Over on the Louisiana Tech side, they’re 16-5 this year. Since their loss to North Texas, the Bulldogs have won three straight versus Middle Tennessee, UAB and Charlotte.
In the win over the 49ers, Louisiana Tech’s Derric Jean posted 16 points, six assists and three rebounds. DaQuan Brace added 15 points with three assists there, and Amorie Archibald had 14 points and three assists.
Louisiana Tech is 5-1 ATS in the last six Saturday games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games. The under is 6-1 in the Bulldogs’ last seven home games and 13-3 in their last 16 Saturday games.
Meanwhile, the Monarchs are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight Saturday games and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six road games. Old Dominion is 9-3-1 ATS in the last 13 overall and the under is 14-3 in their last 17 road games.
It hasn’t been terribly flashy, but Old Dominion has been doing pretty well over their last four games. The only loss in that span came by just eight points, and they held opponents to 62 or fewer points in each of the three wins.
As for Louisiana Tech, they’ve posted at least 72 points in each of their last three games and seem to be on a nice offensive rhythm. I like the Bulldogs to keep it going here, so I’m going LA Tech on the cover.
