The South Dakota State Jackrabbits and the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles meet in college basketball action from Mabee Center on Wednesday.
South Dakota State sits at 15-8 on the year. The Jackrabbits are 6-1 in their last seven games, falling to South Dakota while otherwise beating Oral Roberts, Western IL, Denver, Fort Wayne, North Dakota and ND State.
In the win over the Bison, South Dakota State’s top scorer was Matt Dentlinger with 21 points, three rebounds and one assist. Doug Wilson added 20 points and four rebounds there, and Alex Arians had 14 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.
Over on the Oral Roberts side, they’re 11-9 this year. The Eagles had won four straight games versus ND State, North Dakota, Western Illinois and Fort Wayne before losing their last game versus South Dakota.
In the loss to the Coyotes, Oral Roberts’ lead scorer was Emmanuel Nzekwesi with 27 points, nine rebounds and one assist. Max Abmas added 24 points there, and Deondre Burns chipped in 10 points.
The Eagles are 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight Wednesday games and 11-1 ATS in their last 12 home games. The over is 64-31 in Oral Roberts’ last 95 overall and 22-4 in the last 26 Wednesday games.
Meanwhile, the Jackrabbits are 5-0 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 after a straight-up win. SD State is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 overall and the over is 60-27 in their last 87 road games.
The last time these teams met up was a 96-79 home victory for South Dakota State back on January 2. That kicked off the 6-1 run for the Jackrabbits, and they’ve put up at least 70 points in all seven of those outings.
Oral Roberts has scored at least 79 in each of their last five games however, so they seem primed for a good showing in this rematch. This should be a pretty fun game to watch, and I like the Eagles to bang out a cover here.
