The Davidson Wildcats and the George Washington Colonials meet in college basketball action from Charles E. Smith Center on Wednesday.
Davidson comes in here at 10-9 so far. Since their last loss to Richmond, Davidson has won three straight games, beating Fordham, Saint Louis and George Mason during that time.
In the win over the Patriots, Davidson’s Jon Axel Gudmundsson led the team with 27 points with 10 rebounds and four assists. Mike Jones added 15 points there, with two rebounds and one assist.
Over on the George Washington side, they’re 9-11 this year. The Colonials are 3-1 in their last four games, falling to Fordham while otherwise beating George Mason, UMass and Saint Joseph’s in that time.
In the win over the Hawks, George Washington’s lead scorer was Jameer Nelson with 22 points and six rebounds. Both Jamison Battle and Armel Potter had 15 points apiece there, and Chase Paar doubled up on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
GW is 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 Wednesday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games. The Colonials are 5-1 ATS in their last six overall and the under is 17-8-1 in their last 26 overall.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Wednesday games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games. The under is 9-3-2 in Davidson’s last 14 overall and 5-2-1 in their last eight road games.
Davidson has been scoring pretty consistently during this win streak, with at least 68 in each outing. Prior to that the Wildcats had hit 65 points in just one of four games.
As for the Colonials, they posted just 54 points versus Fordham but the the other three installments of their last four games they’ve hit at least 73 in each. I like George Washington to come out with another strong offensive game here and cover.
