The Alabama A&M Bulldogs and the Southern Jaguars meet in college basketball action from FG Clark Center on Monday.
Alabama A&M sits at 5-12 on the year. The Bulldogs are currently riding a three-game losing streak, falling to MS Valley, Alabama State and Alcorn State during that stretch.
In the loss to the Braves, Alabama A&M’s Cameron Tucker led the team with 13 points, four assists and one rebound. Garrett Hicks added 12 points and two assists there, and EJ Williams had 10 points with seven rebounds.
Over on the Southern side, they’re 7-13 overall. The Jaguars have won their last four straight games, taking out Jackson State, AR-Pine Bluff, MS Valley and Alabama State in that time.
In the win over the Hornets, Southern’s lead scorer was Darius Williams with 14 points, six rebonds and three assists. Amel Kuljuhovic added 13 points with six rebounds, and Brendon Brooks had 12 points.
The under is 5-2 in Southern’s last seven overall and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 Monday games. The Jaguars are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six Monday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 after a straight-up loss and 5-1 ATS in their last six road games. Alabama A&M is 12-4 ATS in their last 16 overall and the under is 4-0 in their last four road games.
Alabama A&M just isn’t a great scoring team this season; they haven’t hit more than 66 points in any of their last seven games and have gone 2-5 during that time. The good news is that the Bulldogs aren’t giving up crazy amounts of points, but it’s been enough.
As for Southern, they had a pretty sketchy offensive stretch going but they’ve been better over their last three games, with at least 74 in each. I like the Jaguars to keep it going and cover here.
