The Delaware State Hornets and the North Carolina A&T Aggies meet in college basketball action from Corbett Sports Center on Monday.
Delaware State comes into this one at 2-16 so far. Since their last win over NC Central back on January 11, the Hornets have lost consecutive games to NC A&T and NC Central.
In the loss to the Eagles, Delaware State’s Ameer Bennett led the team with 13 points, five rebounds and one assist. John Crosby also finished in double-digits there with 11 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Over on the North Carolina A&T side, they’re 9-12 this year. The Aggies are 2-1 in their last three games, falling to Coppin State before taking consecutive wins over Morgan State and Bethune-Cookman.
In the win over the Wildcats, NC A&T’s Andre Jackson topped the team with 18 points, one rebound and one assist. Both Ronald Jackson (17 points; 12 rebounds) and Kameron Langley (16 points; 12 assists; six rebounds) finished in double-digits there as well.
The over is 11-0 in the Aggies’ last 11 overall and 4-0 in their last four Monday games. NC A&T is 5-11 ATS in their last 16 Monday games and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four home games.
Meanwhile, the Hornets are 5-1 ATS in their last six Monday games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games. Delaware State is 1-4 ATS in their last five overall and the over is 4-1 in their last five Monday games.
Delaware State showed some life with a decent win over NC Central and 77 points versus NC A&T in their last meeting, but were blown out by NC Central in their last appearance 72-45 and took a major step back.
Considering the margin of victory the last time these teams met was 21 points in favor of NC A&T on the road, I don’t think things will be much different in the rematch. I’m going to stick with the Aggies on the cover.
