The Troy Trojans and the Little Rock Trojans meet in college basketball action from Jack Stephens Center on Wednesday.
Troy enters this game at 8-12 so far. Following consecutive losses to Arkansas State and Georgia Southern, Troy put up a 75-65 victory over Georgia State in their last outing.
In the win over the Panthers, Troy’s Jitaurious Gordon posted 20 points with six assists and four rebounds. KJ Simon added 16 points with three assists and nine rebounds there, and Desmond Williams chipped in 13 points with six boards.
Over on the Little Rock side, they’re 13-7 this year. After two losses versus Troy and South Alabama, Little Rock has won their last two games versus Coastal Carolina and App State.
In the win over the Mountaineers, Little Rock’s Jovan Stulic led the way on 18 points and six rebounds. Nikola Maric added 17 points with three assists and five rebounds there, and Ruot Monyyong hauled in 11 rebounds.
Little Rock is 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games and 4-1 ATS in the last five after an ATS win. Little Rock is 6-2 ATS in their last eight overall and the over is 4-1 in the last five home games.
Meanwhile, Troy is 7-1 ATS in their last eight Wednesday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up win. Troy is 6-14 ATS in their last 20 after an ATS win and the over is 4-1 in their last five overall.
Troy looked pretty solid against Georgia State, especially in the second half. The Troy total of 75 points in that game was their highest since hanging 76 on Little Rock in a five-point win on January 9.
Speaking of Little Rock, they’ve put up some nice offensive (and defensive) totals over the last couple of games, and they’ll be in a much stronger position here. I like Little Rock to get the victory and cover in this battle of the Trojans.
