The Oakland Golden Grizzlies and the Green Bay Phoenix meet in college basketball action from Resch Center on Thursday.
The Grizzlies enter this game at 7-11 on the year. After a three-game losing streak versus Wright State, Northern Kentucky and Youngstown State, Oakland won their last game versus Cleveland State.
In the win over the Vikings, Oakland’s lead scorers were Xavier Hill-Mais and Blake Lampman, who each tallied 15 points, and the duo combined for 10 rebounds. Kevin Kangu chipped in 13 points there also.
Over on the Phoenix’s side, they’re 7-11 this year. After consecutive wins versus Northern Kentucky and UIC, Green Bay has lost their last two to IUPUI and Milwaukee.
In the loss to the Panthers, Green Bay’s Amari Davis led the way on 28 points with six rebounds and one assist. Also in double-digits there was JayQuan McCloud, with 23 points, six assists and five rebounds.
The over is 11-4 in the Phoenix’s last 15 overall and 6-1 in their last seven Thursday games. Green Bay is 4-1 ATS in their last five Thursday games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games.
Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 Thursday games and 6-0 ATS in their last six road games. The under is 24-9 in Oakland’s last 33 overall and 38-17-1 in their last 56 road games.
Oakland looked pretty sketchy in their losing streak, missing the 70-point mark in every game and allowing 75 or more points in two of those three losses. Still, in favorable matchups this year the Grizzlies can score pretty well.
As for Green Bay, they allow a ton of points but can also tear up the scoreboard themselves. The Phoenix have posted at least 73 points in seven straight games. I’m going to stick with Green Bay to turn up the offense here and cover.
