The Eastern Washington Eagles and the Idaho Vandals meet in college basketball action from Kibbie Dome on Thursday.
The Eagles come in here at 9-6 on the season. Eastern Washington is 2-2 in the last four games, beating Weber State and Portland State while otherwise falling to Idaho State and Montana.
In the loss to the Grizzlies, Eastern Washington’s Jacob Davison led the way on 15 points with three rebounds and one assist. Also in double-digits there was Mason Peatling with 12 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
Over on the Idaho side, they’re 5-10 so far. The Vandals are 1-4 in their last five, beating Portland State and otherwise falling to SD State, Idaho State, Weber State and Montana State.
In the loss to the Bobcats, Idaho’s top scorer was Marquell Fraser with 22 points and six rebounds. Trevon Allen added 20 points, three rebounds and two assists there, and Jack Wilson had 10 points with six rebounds.
The over is 5-2 in the Vandals’ last seven overall and the under is 5-2 in their last seven Thursday games. Idaho is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five Thursday games and 2-0-2 ATS in their last four at home.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 2-5 ATS in their last seven Thursday games and 0-4-1 ATS in their last five overall. The over is 7-3 in Eastern Washington’s last 10 overall and 4-1 in their last five road games.
For the most part, the Eagles have been putting up some pretty good points totals lately—aside from the 63 in the 27-point blowout loss to Montana. Prior to that, Eastern Washington had notched at least 71 points in nine of 10 games.
As for Idaho, they’ve hit at least 68 in each of their last three games and have been competitive in each of their last four. Still, I don’t think the Vandals have the offensive prowess to keep up here, so I’m going Eagles on the cover.
