The Ball State Cardinals and the Eastern Michigan Eagles meet in college basketball action from EMU Convocation Center on Tuesday.
Ball State is sitting at 9-7 so far. After a three-game win streak over Portland, Toledo and Buffalo, the Cardinals lost their last game 75-60 to Akron back on Friday.
In the loss to the Zips, Ball State’s Tahjai Teague led the team with 19 points, 12 rebounds and two assists. The only other Cardinals player in double-digits there was Ishmael El-Amin with 17 points and three rebounds.
Over on the Eastern Michigan side, they’re 10-6 this year. The Eagles have lost their last three straight games, dropping to Akron, Ohio and Northern Illinois during that stretch.
In the loss to the Huskies, EMU’s Noah Morgan topped the team on 16 points with five rebounds, and Yeikson Montero had 15 points. Boubacar Toure doubled up in that one with 14 points and 11 rebounds as well.
EMU is 5-2 ATS in the last seven Tuesday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. The under is 5-1 in the Eagles’ last six home games and 36-15 in their last 51 after an ATS win.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals are 5-2 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up loss and 1-6 ATS in their last seven Tuesday games. Ball State is 5-2 ATS in the last seven after an ATS loss and the under is 17-8-1 in their last 26 overall.
Ball State had a pretty good run going during their win streak, and took out a talented Buffalo team 88-68. It’s a bit concerning that the Cardinals have scored 61 or fewer in three of their last four, though.
As for Eastern Michigan, they had a four-game stretch recently where they scored 49 or fewer in three of those, but have been better over their last pair. Still, I like Ball State better on the cover here.
