Hamilton Tiger-Cats Betting Preview

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are 2-2 this season after they lost to the Blue Bombers by a score of 14-13 last week. Hamilton led 13-4 at halftime, but they were outscored 10-0 in the second half for the loss. The Tiger-Cats out gained Winnipeg by a total of 281-200, went 10-23 on second downs, and tied the turnover battle at one in the game. Prior to that game, Hamilton defeated the Lions by a score of 41-27 and defeated the Blue Bombers by a score of 37-27, and they are currently tied for second in the East Division. The Tiger-Cats have scored 29.5 points per game with 279.8 passing yards and 82.5 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 24.5 points against per game this season. Jake Dolegala will start at quarterback after the injury to Bo Levi Mitchell, while Kiondre Smith has 20 receptions for 329 yards and three scores. Larry Rountree III has rushed 58 times for 254 yards this season.

Saskatchewan Roughriders Betting Preview

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are 3-1 this year after they defeated the Redblacks by a score of 27-22 in week five. Saskatchewan was tied at 13 at halftime, but they scored 14 points in the third quarter and hung on for the win in the fourth. The Roughriders were out gained by a total of 333-329, went 12-23 on second downs, and tied the turnover battle at two in the game. Trevor Harris threw for 243 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, while KeeSean Johnson caught nine passes for 137 yards and one score. Quali Conley rushed 12 times for 57 yards in the win.

Prior to that game, Saskatchewan lost to the Argonauts by a score of 40-34 and defeated the Stampeders by a score of 40-37, and they are currently second in the West Division. The Roughriders have scored 33.0 points per game with 354.5 passing yards and 95.3 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 31.5 points against per game this season. Trevor Harris has thrown for 1,418 yards, 10 touchdowns, and two interceptions, while KeeSean Johnson has 32 receptions for 438 yards and three scores. AJ Ouellette has rushed 33 times for 153 yards and he is expected to be back from injury.

Tiger-Cats vs Roughriders Prediction

Saskatchewan comes into this matchup with the home field advantage, the better record, and the much better quarterback. Hamilton lost their starting quarterback to injury last week, so it will be interesting to see how Dolegala does with the offense. The Roughriders failed to cover last week, but they did get the win and having Ouellette back will be huge for the offense. This is a big number for a CFL game, but I have to take Saskatchewan based on the QB situation.

David Racey's Pick: Roughriders -8.5
