Hamilton Tiger-Cats Betting Preview

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are 4-11 this season after they lost to the Elks in overtime by a score of 37-35 last week. Hamilton trailed 15-10 at halftime and 25-16 in the fourth quarter, but they forced overtime, before losing. The Tiger-Cats were out gained by a total of 448-312, went 6-20 on second downs, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 3-2 in the game. Rountree III rushed 13 times for 91 yards and one touchdown in the loss.

Prior to that game, Hamilton lost to the Alouettes by a score of 37-25 and the Argonauts by a score of 37-22, and they are currently third in the East Division. The Tiger-Cats have scored 24.1 points per game with 253.3 passing yards and 91.7 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 30.5 points against per game this season. Harrison Frost has thrown for 1,278 yards with 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions this season.

Ottawa Redblacks Betting Preview

The Ottawa Redblacks are 0-14 this year after they lost to the Stampeders by a score of 45-31 in their last game. Ottawa trailed 25-13 at halftime, but did cut the deficit to 38-31 in the fourth, before picking up the loss. The Redblacks were out gained by a total of 520-475, went 14-24 on second downs, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 2-0 in the game. Bethel-Thompson threw for 418 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, while Hardy caught nine passes for 98 yards and one score. Barnes rushed four times for 20 yards in the loss.

Prior to that game, Ottawa lost to the Stampeders again by a score of 40-38 and lost to the Argonauts by a score of 26-23, and they are currently last in the East Division. The Redblacks have scored 24.2 points per game with 310.1 passing yards and 49.8 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 36.7 points against per game this season. McLeod Bethel-Thompson has thrown for 1,092 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions this year.

Tiger-Cats vs Redblacks Prediction

Ottawa comes into this matchup still seeking their first win of the season, but they have played slightly better in recent games. The Redblacks have scored 31 and 38 points in their last two games, but their defense has allowed 40+ in four of their last five. Hamilton has lost five in a row and their quarterback situation is not good. I think this is a great chance for Ottawa to get the win and I like them at home.

David Racey's Pick: Redblacks ML
