Calgary Stampeders Betting Preview

The Calgary Stampeders are 2-4 this season after they lost to the Alouettes by a score of 38-32 last week. Calgary trailed 22-3 at halftime, but they did score 29 points in the second half, before falling short in the loss. The Stampeders were out gained by a total of 515-413, went 10-19 on second downs, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 3-1 in the game. Vernon Adams Jr threw for 271 yards and three touchdowns, while Jalen Philpot caught six passes for 96 yards and one score. Dedrick Mills rushed 15 times for 130 yards and one touchdown in the loss.

Prior to that game, Calgary lost to the Alouettes by a score of 37-30 and defeated the Argonauts by a score of 58-36, and they are currently fourth in the West Division. The Stampeders have scored 37.7 points per game with 278.3 passing yards and 125.3 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 35.7 points against per game this season. Vernon Adams Jr has thrown for 1,670 yards and 17 touchdowns, while Jalen Philpot has 27 receptions for 407 yards and four scores. Dedrick Mills has rushed 85 times for 524 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers Betting Preview

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are 4-2 this year after they defeated the Redblacks by a score of 36-34 in their last game. Winnipeg trailed 19-9 at halftime and 26-9 in the fourth quarter, but they forced overtime and won on the alternating two point conversions. The Blue Bombers were out gained by a total of 420-367, went 10-22 on second downs, and won the turnover battle by a total of 2-1 in the game. Dru Brown threw for 317 yards and two touchdowns, while Tim White caught seven passes for 97 yards. Brady Oliveira rushed 10 times for 48 yards in the win.

Prior to that game, Winnipeg defeated the Argonauts by a score of 30-21 and the Tiger-Cats by a score of 14-13, and they are currently third in the West Division. The Blue Bombers have scored 25.8 points per game with 287.8 passing yards and 87.7 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 26.0 points against per game this season. Dru Brown has thrown for 656 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, while Nic Demski has 27 receptions for 400 yards and two scores. Brady Oliveira has rushed 79 times for 423 yards and one score this year.

Stampeders vs Blue Bombers Prediction

Calgary comes into this matchup on a two game losing streak and they are one of the worst defensive teams, as they have allowed 33+ points in five straight games. The Stampeders have an elite quarterback with Vernon Adams, but their defense is really hurting them. Winnipeg has won three games in a row, but one of those wins came in OT and another came by one point. The Blue Bombers will have Dru Brown back at quarterback, who played very well in the second half last week. This should be a great game and we should see plenty of scoring, so I like the over here.

David Racey's Pick: Over 60.5
