BC Lions Betting Preview

The BC Lions are 1-3 this season after they defeated the Elks by a score of 36-24 in week five. BC led 29-21 at halftime and held Edmonton to just three points in the second half in the win. The Lions out gained Edmonton by a total of 475-416, went 14-21 on second downs, and won the turnover battle by a total of 4-2 in the game. Prior to that win, BC lost to the Stampeders by a score of 41-33 and lost to the Tiger-Cats by a score of 41-27, and they are currently last in the West Division. The Lions have scored 30.8 points per game with 377.8 passing yards and 93.0 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 34.3 points against per game this season. Edmonton Elks Betting Preview

The Edmonton Elks are 4-1 this year after they defeated the Redblacks by a score of 40-17 in week six. Edmonton led 16-7 at halftime, but only 16-14 to start the fourth, before they scored 24 points in the final quarter to seal the win. The Elks out gained Ottawa by a total of 537-337, went 15-24 on second downs, and won the turnover battle by a total of 4-1 in the game. Cody Fajardo threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns, while Austin Mack had six receptions for 94 yards. Justin Rankin carried the ball 14 times for 107 yards two scores in the win.

Prior to that game, Edmonton lost to the Lions by a score of 36-24 and defeated the Blue Bombers by a score of 23-18, and they are currently tied for first in the West Division. The Elks have scored 29.6 points per game with 299.8 passing yards and 136.6 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 24.2 points against per game this season. Cody Fajardo has thrown for 1,499 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions, while Austin Mack has caught 26 passes for 367 yards and three scores. Justin Rankin has rushed 67 times for 513 yards and six touchdowns this year.

Lions vs Elks Prediction

BC comes into this matchup after having a bye last week and they just beat Edmonton the week prior to that. The Lions are just 1-3 on the season, but their offense has scored 27+ points in four straight games. Edmonton is 4-1 on the season and they blew out Ottawa in the fourth quarter last week. The Elks have an elite ground game with Rankin and their defense is very good. I know BC just beat Edmonton, but I think the Elks will take this one at home. Take Edmonton to win here.
