The BC Lions and Edmonton Eskimos meet Saturday in CFL action at Commonwealth Stadium.
The BC Lions look for another victory to build on their four-game winning streak. The BC Lions have lost four of their last five road games. The BC Lions ground game is averaging 101 yards per contest, and John White leads the way with 838 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, BC is allowing 25.7 points and 337.1 yards per game. Maleki Harris leads the BC Lions with 60 tackles, Odell Willis has four sacks and Garry Peters has four interceptions.
The Edmonton Eskimos could use a win here after losing five of their last six games. The Edmonton Eskimos have lost their last three home games. Trevor Harris is completing 71.7 percent of his passes for 3,706 yards, 15 touchdowns and four interceptions. Harris has three or more touchdown passes in six of his last 15 games. The Lions are 8-20-1 ATS in their last 29 vs. West, 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 Saturday games and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Eskimos are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Saturday games and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Lions are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 meetings in Edmonton and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 meetings. The under is 6-1 in Lions last 7 games overall. The over is 5-2 in Eskimos last 7 games overall.
The Edmonton Eskimos have won seven of their last nine meetings against the BC Lions, but they're falling apart, which includes losing five of their last six games and losing their last three games by an average of 9.3 points. The Eskimos are also just 2-5 ATS at home this season and have failed to cover their last six games as an underdog. The BC Lions are winning their last three games by an average of 27.3 points and have covered seven of their last 10 games as a road favorite. I'll lay the small chalk with the team heading in the right direction.
