Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Betting Preview

Last season the Hilltoppers had a pretty good run overall. Western Kentucky went 9-4 with a 6-2 stretch in Conference USA games. That would put the Hilltoppers in third place behind Kennesaw State and Jacksonville State, meaning they’d miss out on a championship game appearance. The Hilltoppers finished with a New Orleans Bowl win 27-16 over Southern Miss as a consolation prize, though.

In their first action of the 2026 season last weekend versus Nevada, Western Kentucky gave up points in every quarter (and double-digits in three of them) during a 49-14 blowout road loss. QB Rodney Tisdale was 24-of-40 for 203 yards and Away Allen scored both TDs on the ground with 21 totes for 102 yards.

Georgia Bulldogs Betting Preview

Over on the Georgia side, they had a wild ride in 2025. The Bulldogs managed to go a very nice 12-2 overall with a 7-1 run in the SEC. That would put Georgia behind only Alabama in the Southeastern Conference standings, and the Bulldogs beat the Tide 28-7 in the championship game. In the CFP Quarterfinal Sugar Bowl versus Ole Miss however, Georgia would fall 39-34 in a heartbreaker.

Matched up against Tennessee State in the opener this year, Georgia scored 28 points in the first quarter and 14 more in both the third and fourth on the way to a 63-3 blowout victory. Gunnar Stockton was 15-of-16 for 202 yards and three scores while Nate Frazier had 72 yards and three TDs of his own on four carries.

Western Kentucky vs Georgia Prediction

I’ll just stick with Georgia but I’m probably not going near it. The Bulldogs destroyed Tennessee State in their first outing this year, bagging 660 yards (272 rushing), 11.0 yards per play and 31 first downs with a 4-of-6 success rate on third downs. On defense Georgia gave up just 109 yards, 1.9 yards per play and 10 first downs. If there’s a gripe, it’s the lack of takeaways and the eight penalties for 85 yards. Otherwise it was pretty close to perfect.

As for WKU, they gave up 486 yards (323 rushing), 8.4 yards per play and 20 first downs in their blowout loss to Nevada. The Hilltoppers weren’t terrible on offense but did lose two fumbles and went just 6-of-17 on third downs. Georgia is going to win big in this one; the only question is by how much.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Georgia Bulldogs -40.5
