Notre Dame Fighting Irish Betting Preview
Notre Dame had a little trouble in their first two games of the year, but since then it’s been smooth sailing. The Irish lost to Miami and Texas A&M in those first two outings, then beat Purdue, Arkansas, Boise State, NC State, USC, Boston College, Navy, Pitt and Syracuse in the next nine games. That gives the Irish a 9-2 record across 11 games this year.
Last weekend versus Syracuse, the Fighting Irish had no issues whatsoever. Notre Dame was up 35-0 by the second quarter and rolled to the win 70-7. CJ Carr had 49 yards and a TD passing, and Jeremiyah Love had eight carries for 171 yards and three scores. Tops in receiving was Jordan Faison with two catches for just 21 yards.
Stanford Cardinal Betting Preview
Over on the Stanford side, they’ve had a pretty rough run so far. The Cardinal limped to a 3-4 record across the first seven games of the year. Those wins were over Boston College, San Jose State and Florida State, with losses otherwise versus Hawaii, BYU, Virginia and SMU. Stanford would fall to Miami, Pitt and North Carolina in their next three games though, giving the team a 3-7 record over the first 10 games.
Matched up against Cal last weekend, the Cardinal held a 17-10 edge heading into the fourth quarter then scored a couple more times for good measure in a 31-10 win. QB Elijah Brown was 10-of-20 for 123 yards and a TD while Micah Ford put up 29 carries for 150 yards and a TD. CJ Williams had five catches for 76 yards and a score of his own.

Notre Dame vs Stanford Prediction
I might take a stab on Stanford here. The Cardinal took care of a decent Cal team last weekend, posting 282 yards, 159 rush yards and 4.9 yards per play in a relatively modest offensive effort. The defense came up with three fumble recoveries though, and the Bears’ 13 penalties for 123 yards certainly didn’t hurt. Stanford had been below 21 points in five straight outings prior to that, however.
As for Notre Dame, they ditched the pass game early and rushed for a whopping 329 yards in their win over Syracuse. The Irish came up with three picks on defense with 207 total yards, 2.6 yards per play and 18 first downs allowed. Notre Dame has scored 24 or more points in every game this year, so they’ll be tough for the Cardinal to follow along with.
