Miami vs Ohio State Prediction
Ohio State has been dominant on both sides of the ball all season and is 10-2-1 ATS. With an 83.3 percent cover percentage, only Texas Tech was better ATS on the year. OSU should be favored given its body of work and the rest advantage. However, this line is a bit thick. It’s easy to consider Miami a pushover because of bad losses to Louisville and SMU, but on paper, this is a team that can hang with anybody player for player. Miami is elite in the trenches and has the ability to control the game from a physical standpoint, the same way Indiana did.
Miami can get pressure without blitzing, has ball hawks in the secondary, and the offense has skill position players who can make a difference. People seem to forget, after a 5-0 start with wins over Notre Dame and Florida State, some considered Miami the best team in the country. Miami hasn’t been an underdog of 7 or more points since November 2023. This line feels disrespectful. Give me the Canes in a game they could win outright if they control the offensive and defensive lines.
