Purdue Boilermakers Betting Preview
Purdue won two games last season and enters the second season under coach Barry Odom. Purdue has won a combined three games in the last two seasons, and hasn’t made a bowl appearance since the 2022 season.
Ryan Browne gets another crack at quarterback after throwing for 2,153 yards and 9 touchdowns. Minnesota transfer running back Fame Ijeboi adds a splash to the offense after averaging 4.6 yards in two seasons with the Gophers. The defense was a mess last season, and defensive coordinator Kevin Kane gets another chance. Don Saunders and Hudauri Hines have potential at cornerback, while Georgia transfer Elo Modozie is the name to watch on the defensive line. Purdue has lost 18 straight conference games and has a combined three wins in the last two years. It’s as low as it gets. There are no expectations for this team. It’s ugly, folks.

Indiana State vs Purdue Prediction
Indiana State isn’t a good FCS program, as it got smoked left and right last year, and even an opening week loss to Southeast Missouri State isn’t encouraging. However, this is a lot of points for a Purdue side that’s having issues competing and winning games. Can Purdue put together two decent weeks before I start laying 30-plus points? Until proven otherwise, Purdue doesn’t play defense and doesn’t have the offensive horses to blow teams out. FCS or not, I’m just not there with Purdue. It’s Indiana State or pass for me.
