I’m staying with Clemson. The Tigers looked pretty good against an overmatched Stanford team this past weekend, notching 405 yards (255 passing) and 6.6 yards per play in the victory. Clemson had a couple of tepid statistical areas (5-of-12 on third downs, 236 rushing yards allowed) that will need some work this week, but overall it was a solid win.
As for Florida State, they were only able to muster 285 yards (222 passing), 13 first downs, 3-of-12 on third down tries, 10 penalties, and three interceptions versus SMU in their latest loss. The Seminoles may be able to set the pace in the first half this weekend as well, but in the end, I don’t think they’ll be dominant enough to cover—even at home. Should be a great game, though.
