Cincinnati Bearcats Betting Preview
The Bearcats opened up the season with a three-point loss to Nebraska. Cincinnati quickly found their stride after that however, taking wins in each of the next seven outings. Those victories came courtesy of Bowling Green, Northwestern State, Kansas, Iowa State, UCF, Oklahoma State and Baylor. The next two games were losses however, as Cincinnati fell versus Utah and Arizona. That would give the Bearcats a 7-3 run through their first 10 games of the year.
Last weekend vs BYU, Cincinnati was down by just three points at the half but ended up surrendering points in every quarter during a 26-14 loss. QB Brendan Sorsby was 25-of-38 for 300 yards, two scores and a pick while also leading the rush on 38 yards off eight carries. Cyrus Allen had five catches for 51 yards and a score of his own.
TCU Horned Frogs Betting Preview
Over on the TCU side, they opened the year with three straight victories. Those came versus North Carolina, Abilene Christian and SMU in succession. The Frogs would lose to Arizona State ahead of a win versus Colorado and a loss to Kansas State in the next three. Following two losses to Baylor and West Virginia, the Frogs lost to Iowa State and BYU in the ensuing pair. That would leave TCU at 6-4 on the 10-game mark.
Matched up against Houston last weekend, the Frogs jumped out to a 14-0 lead following the first quarter, then gave up 14 unanswered points. A late field goal propelled TCU to a 17-14 road win, though. QB Josh Hoover was 24-of-33 for 293 yards, two TDs and three picks while Jeremy Payne led the rush on 18 carries for 103 yards. Joseph Manjack caught nine balls for 95 yards as the team’s leading receiver.

Cincinnati vs TCU Prediction
I’ll go with TCU—so long as they don’t suffer the proverbial “big-win hangover,” that is. The Frogs were great in their win over a talented Houston team, giving up 391 yards, 230 rush yards and 17 first downs with 4-of-17 on third-down tries. The offense had a bit of trouble on 5-of-11 from third downs and four turnovers but still found a way to pull off the win. The Frogs have been below 18 points in three straight games though, so it’d be nice to see them notch a big total in this one.
As for Cincinnati, they had a couple of turnovers and went just 4-of-13 on third downs in their loss to BYU last weekend. The Bearcats gave up 392 yards, 265 rush yards and 24 first downs on the other side. Cincinnati has given up 26 or more points in three straight games, so TCU should have some opportunities here.
