Cincinnati Bearcats Betting Preview

The Bearcats only have three games in the bag so far this year, generating a 2-1 record along the way. Cincinnati’s lone loss came in the opener on August 28 versus Nebraska as the team fell 20-17. The good news is that the Bearcats were able to bounce back against Bowling Green the next week, posting points in every quarter along the way to a 34-20 victory. Cincinnati logged 439 yards of offense in that one with 333 of those coming via the passing game. The Bearcats went just 2-of-7 on third downs, though.

In their latest matchup versus Northwestern State, the Bearcats recorded their biggest win yet. Cincinnati scored 35 points in the first quarter alone on the way to a 70-0 blowout victory. QB Brendan Sorsby threw for 253 yards and a whopping five scores on 15-of-15 passing, and Tawee Walker led the rush with 66 yards on six carries with a score of his own. Tops among receivers was Caleb Goodie with three grabs for 106 yards and a touchdown.

Kansas Jayhawks Betting Preview

Over on the Jayhawks’ side, they’ve got four matchups in the can during this 2025 campaign. Kansas opened things up with a matchup against Fresno State, eventually powering out the win 31-7. The Jayhawks followed that up with another big win, this time 46-7 over Wagner. In game three versus Missouri, the Jayhawks were handed their first loss 42-31. Kansas held an early 21-6 lead after the first quarter but eventually gave up 595 yards and points in every quarter during the defeat.

Last weekend in their matchup versus West Virginia, Kansas didn’t have too many issues. The Jayhawks scored 27 points across the second and third quarters on the way to a 41-10 victory. QB Jaylon Daniels was 12-of-24 for 138 yards and three scores, while Leshon Williams carried 19 times for 129 yards and a score. Levi Wentz caught one TD pass for 41 yards and it put him atop the receivers on the stat sheet.

Cincinnati vs Kansas Prediction

I’ll lean toward Cincinnati, but you could call this one either way. The Bearcats have had some extra time to rest and prep for this one following an utter dismantling of Northwestern State. Cincinnati rolled in that one, generating 605 yards (362 passing), 12.3 yards per play, 27 first downs and a 2-of-4 rate on third-down tries. The defense held an overmatched Demons squad to just 102 yards on the other side. That makes two consecutive good-looking wins for the Bearcats—even though they were over lesser competition than they’ll get against Kansas.

Speaking of the Jayhawks, they looked good against West Virginia in their last outing. Kansas generated 388 yards of offense, with 242 of those coming on the ground. The defense gave up 324 yards (142 passing), 18 first downs and just 3-of-15 on third-down tries alongside a couple of takeaways. The tepid passing attack and the 5-of-14 on third downs were about the only things to complain about in the blowout win. Through four games, Kansas has scored 31 points in each outing and held opponents to 10 or fewer points in three of them. This weekend’s matchup seems like a coin flip; should be a good one.
