Boston College won two games last year and enters the third season under coach Bill O’Brien. Boston College has made a bowl appearance just twice since the 2020 season.Mason McKenzie from Saginaw Valley State gets the nod at quarterback and has been getting high praise in camp. Liberty transfer Evan Dickens will get the bulk of the touches at running back, while tight end Kaelan Chudzinski is a key piece to the offense. The offensive line is built with transfers due to a lot of lost production. The defense is a major rebuild under defensive coordinator Ted Roof, but he landed two key additions in Kris Jones from Georgia and KJ Sampson from Florida State. A lot of roster turnover this season and scheme changes under O’Brien and Roof. Boston College remains a work in progress.
Cincinnati Bearcats Betting Preview
Cincinnati won 7 games last season and enters year 4 under coach Scott Satterfield. Cincinnati has made a bowl trip once in the last three seasons.
Georgia Southern transfer JC French IV gets the nod at quarterback and brings experience and production to the position. The skill position players will look different, but there’s a solid and proven offensive line in place. New defensive coordinator Nate Woody takeover and while the defensive line and secondary have questions, this linebacker group is one of the better in the conference. A team built heavily on the portal, but this offensive line and a proven quarterback could make some magic happen. I wouldn’t sleep on Cincinnati.

Cincinnati is the more talented team, but these are two new rosters that will experience growing pains. Boston College has a coaching staff that can’t be overlooked, and I’m not running out a successful ground attack that can grind this out into an ugly game. I’m just not there yet with Cincinnati. We’re also getting a hook on top of a key number. I’ll grab the points with Boston College if forced to pick this game.
