Akron appears to be the laughing stock of college football again, and the first two games have looked awful. In the first game of the season, they were knocked off by Wyoming 10-0 and in the last game against Nebraska, they were defeated 68-0. The defense obviously is an issue, but they have to find a way to get the offense going. Ben Finley is under center for Akron, and he went 7/21 for 54 yards in his last game. Obviously, Nebraska is a good defensive team, but 7 for 21 against any defense is a major issue. The defense was obviously a major issue, and they let them gain 728 yards, and 494 of those came through the air.
In the first game of the season, Finley completed 16 of his 38 passes for 139 yards, one interception, and zero touchdowns. In this game, Finley is going to need to be a lot more accurate.

Why UAB Will Beat Akron
UAB’s defense hasn’t been great this season, but now they get to face off against a quarterback who has trouble completing passes. Akron’s offense is a major issue, and they aren’t going to even reach 10 points here. UAB on the other hand, has Kitna who has been lighting up the scoreboard, and he’s going to have a huge game here. Kitna is going to throw at least free touchdowns here, and it will be the Blazers that are going to end up cruising here. Back UAB against the spread.
