Kansas Jayhawks Preview
Kansas dropped to 7-4 after losing to Kansas State in Lawrence by four, 31-27. The Jayhawks had their rally cut short by the Wildcats, and they’ll seek different results here against the Bearcats. The Kansas offense is scoring 26.6 ppg, while passing for 220.2 ypg, rushing for 202.2 ypg, and converting 48.4% of their third downs.
Kansas Player Notes
• Cole Ballard is now behind center with injuries to Jalon Daniels and Jason Bean, and after passing for 162 yards and a score last week against KState, he’s up to 286 passing yards, with a touchdown to three interceptions thru two games.
• Junior back Devin Neal scored multiple times against last weekend, and he leads Kansas in rushing yards (1,103) and touchdowns (13).
• Third-year wideout Lawrence Arnold also found the endzone versus KSU and he leads the team in receptions (35) and receiving yards (576).
• The KU defense has allowed 26.6 points per game.
Cincinnati Bearcats Preview
Cincinnati comes in at 3-8 after losing to West Virginia in Morgantown, 42-21. The Bearcats weren’t able to match WVU’s energy, and they’ll attempt to close a tough season strong here at home. The Cincinnati offense is scoring 24.8 ppg, while passing for 217.9 ypg, rushing for 215.8 ypg, and converting 42.2% of their third downs.
Cincinnati Player Notes
• Emory Jones leads Cincy behind center, and after tossing a pair of scores in the loss to WVU, he’s up to 2,115 yards, with 17 touchdowns to ten interceptions for the season.
• Junior back Corey Kiner had big games against former AAC rivals UCF and Houston, and he leads Cincinnati in rushing yards (941).
• The former Florida Gator connection of Jones and Xzavier Henderson hasn’t been able to lift the Bearcats here in the Big 12, but he does lead the team in receptions (54) and receiving yards (752), after an 104-yard outing in Morgantown.
• The Cincy defense is allowing 28.2 points per game.
Kansas vs Cincinnati Trends

• CINCY is 4-7 ATS, with a 7-4 over/under record.
Corey’s Free Pick
Cincinnati’s gone through growing pains here in their first season in the Big 12, but they may come into somewhat of a playing field here against Kansas. The Jayhawks are down to their third-string quarterback in Cole Ballard, who’s a freshman that will be making his first road start, and a focused Bearcats defense may be able to pounce on that. After being pushed around for most of their debut season, with over a handful of close calls along the way, and an in-state Victory Bell loss to Miami at home, something has to give here on Senior Day. The Under may be in play with KU on the road with a first-year QB, but let’s roll the dice and spot Cincinnati the points for this contest.
