State offense is scoring 25.4 ppg, while passing for 194.2 ypg, rushing for 151.0 ypg, and converting 45.5% of their third downs.
N.C. State Player Notes
MJ Morris wasn’t asked to do much last week, but he did pass for 123 yards with a touchdown to an interception. The sophomore quarterback made timely throws in last week’s victory, and he’ll look to improve to 4-1 as the starter this Saturday. Morris has passed for 596 yards with six touchdowns to four interceptions.
The Wolfpack haven’t had much room on the ground this season, and sophomore RB leads the backfield with 249 yards on 50 touches.

Wake Forest Player Notes
Mitch Griffis was accurate on the road last week, going 16/19 for 241 yards, but he did toss a timely interception. The sophomore QB hasn’t been able to get Wake over the hump during conference play, and he’ll seek different results here at home. Griffis has passed for 1,534 yards with nine touchdowns to seven interceptions thru eight starts.
Sophomore RB Demond Claiborne gained 81 yards last week, and he leads Wake with 574 rushing yards and five touchdowns for the season.

N.C. State vs Wake Forest Trends
NCST is 3-5-1 against the spread, with a 2-7 O/U record.
WAKE is 4-5 ATS, with a 3-5-1 over/under record.
Corey’s Free Pick
The other duel in Carolina on Saturday should be a physical contest, as neither N.C. State or Wake Forest has made strides thru the air this season, and it has a chance to be low-scoring as well. This one could sway to either side, as they’ve mirrored each other on the field, but after picking up wins over Clemson and Miami, I like rolling with the Wolfpack on the road here. The margin is manageable, and the Under will also be in play as well, but let’s back N.C. State for this in-state battle.
