The TCU Horned Frogs will play the Kansas State Wildcats in a Big 12 game on Saturday night at Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas. TCU is coming off of a win against BYU, while Kansas State has alternated wins and losses over their last five games.

TCU Preview

The TCU Horned Frogs are 4-3 (2-2) this season after they defeated BYU by a score of 44-11 in their last game. TCU led 31-8 at halftime and coasted to the victory in the second half. The Horned Frogs out gained BYU by a total of 584-243 and both teams turned the ball over two times in the game. TCU also has wins against SMU, Houston, and Nicholls State, while they have lost to Colorado, West Virginia, and Iowa State. The TCU offense is scoring 33.1 points per game with 304.1 passing yards per game and 184.3 rushing yards per game, while going 47.7% on third downs. Josh Hoover has thrown for 608 yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions for the Horned Frogs this season. Emani Bailey has rushed for 751 yards and two touchdowns, while JP Richardson has caught 27 passes for 399 yards and two scores. The TCU defense is allowing 20.4 points against per game this season.

Kansas State Preview

The Kansas State Wildcats are 4-2 (2-1) this year after they defeated Texas Tech by a score of 38-21 last week. Kansas State trailed 21-17 in the third quarter, but they scored the final 21 points of the game for the win. The Wildcats were out gained by a total of 480-435, but they did force three turnovers in the game. Kansas State has losses to Oklahoma State and Missouri, while they did defeat SE Missouri, Troy, UCF, and Texas Tech. The Kansas State offense is averaging 39.2 points per game with 241.7 passing yards per game and 214.3 rushing yards per game, while going 48.8% on third downs. It sounds like Kansas State may use Will Howard and Avery Johnson at quarterback, like they did last week. DJ Giddens has rushed for 541 yards and four touchdowns, while Ben Sinnott has caught 26 passes for 358 yards and three scores. The Kansas State defense is allowing 20.7 points against per game this year.

Kansas State Wildcats Team Facts

  • The favorite has won each of Kansas State's last seven games at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
  • Kansas State has covered the spread in each of its last six games as a home favorite.
  • Kansas State has won the first half in four of its last five home games against conference opponents.
  • Five of Kansas State's last six home games against non-AP-ranked teams have gone OVER the total points line.

TCU Horned Frogs Team Facts

  • TCU has won three of its last four games as an underdog.
  • TCU has failed to cover the spread in seven of its last eight games as an underdog against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Five of TCU's last six games against non-AP-ranked teams have gone UNDER the total points line.

Kansas State played very poorly two games ago when they lost to Oklahoma State, but they bounced back with a nice win against a banged up Texas Tech team last week. TCU has lost two out of three games, but did blow out BYU with their backup QB in their last game. Prior to that, TCU lost to Iowa State and West Virginia, which are not very good losses. Kansas State is having a bit of a quarterback issue right now, but they are the better team and will be at home. I think we are going to see plenty of points here, but I think Kansas State will pull away in the second half like last week. Take the Wildcats here.
