Tulsa Preview
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane are 3-2 (1-0) this season after they defeated Temple by a score of 48-26 in their last game. Tulsa led 21-3 at the half, but they were able to add on 27 more points in the second half for the easy win. The Golden Hurricane out gained Temple by a total of 533-313 and forced two turnovers in the game. Tulsa also has wins over NIU and Arkansas-Pine Bluff, but has losses to Washington and Oklahoma. The Tulsa offense is averaging 27.8 points per game with 194 passing yards per game and 194.2 rushing yards per game, while going 46.7% on third downs this year. Cardell Williams has thrown for 840 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions for the Golden Hurricane this season. Anthony Watkins has rushed for 320 yards and two touchdowns, while Marquis Shoulders has caught 16 passes for 283 yards and five scores. The Tulsa defense is allowing 31.2 points against per game, but that number is skewed because of the matchups with Washington and Oklahoma.

Pick
FAU comes into this game as a favorite, but they have yet to defeat a FBS team this year and will be without their starting quarterback. Tulsa looked very good in their last game against Temple and I think they will continue that offensive success in this game. FAU had a chance at the upset against Illinois in their last game, but didn’t play very well after the first quarter. Both of these defenses have some bad numbers on the year, but Tulsa did allow 66 and 43 points to Oklahoma and Washington. The Golden Hurricane defense has played fined in the other three games. I like Tulsa with the points here.
