The Syracuse Orange will host the Western Michigan Broncos in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York. Syracuse rolled to an easy victory against Colgate in their opener, while Western Michigan had a few issues with St. Francis, before pulling away in the second half.

Western Michigan scored the only points of the first quarter to lead 7-0 and was able to score two touchdowns in the second quarter to lead 21-10 at the half. St. Francis scored early in the third to make the score 21-17, but WMU score the final 14 points of the game. Kenneth Womack caught four passes for 54 yards in the win. Western Michigan is not expected to have a great year and they did have some struggles against St. Francis, which is not a great sign coming into this game.

Pick
Syracuse put up some very impressive numbers in their first game, but it was against a FCS opponent, while Western Michigan struggled with their own FCS opponent, before pulling away. Syracuse should have another big offensive day in this matchup and while Western should have a better offense than Colgate, I don’t expect the Broncos to give the Orange much trouble here. I think Syracuse will roll once again this week and I am taking them in a blowout win.
