The Navy Midshipmen and UCF Knights face off on Saturday in a college football showdown at the Bright House Networks Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2021 it was Navy that secured the 34-30 victory.
Navy comes into this game with a 3-7 record and they have gone 6-4 against the spread. In the last game against Notre Dame, they made a comeback late, but still fell short, and ended up losing 35-32. Daba Fofana had a big game on the ground and finished with 15 carries for 133 yards and a touchdown. Navy is averaging 22.9 points while their defense is giving up 25.8 points per game. Navy is averaging 238.7 yards per game which is 10th best in college football. Fofana has been the top rusher this year and he has put up 635 yards and six touchdowns.
On the other side of this matchup is Central Florida who sits with an 8-2 record and they have gone 7-3 against the spread. In the last game against Tulane, the offense scored 38 points, and that was enough to secure the seven-point victory. John Rhys Plumlee wasn’t as dynamic through the air, but he did rush 18 times for 176 yards and two touchdowns. Central Florida is averaging 35.9 points while their defense is giving up 20 points per game. The defense is ranked 21st in college football.
Navy is 5-0 against the spread in their last five road games. Central Florida is 5-1 against the spread in their last six games overall. The over is 5-1 in Navy’s last six games. The under is 4-1 in the Knights last five home games. The under is 12-4 in Knights last 16 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.
Navy was competitive against Notre Dame and they are going to find success again with their offense in this game.
