North Texas will travel down to San Antonio and face UTSA this weekend from the Alamodome. UTSA and North Texas have crossed paths in every season since 2013, with UNT leading the all-time series, 5-4.

Austin Aune has already set career-high’s here in year three starting behind center. The junior quarterback has performed well on the road this season, tossing three touchdowns in the win over UTEP, and a season-high 371 yards versus Memphis. Aune has thrown for 1,692 passing yards with 17 touchdowns to six interceptions on the season.
The Mean Green have one of the best rushing attacks in the country, and they’re led by running backs Ayo Adeyi and Oscar Adaway. Adeyi leads the country in yards per carry (8.3), and he leads UNT with 557 yards. Adaway is the bruiser of the group, and he leads the team with five rushing touchdowns, while rushing for 528 yards. Roderick Burns leads the team with 22 catches for 402 receiving yards.
UTSA improved to 5-2 after defeating FIU. The Roadrunners took a 14-point lead into the locker room and didn’t look back, cruising to their fourth straight win. UTSA scores 36.3 points per game, while passing for 343.6 yards per game (11th), and rushing for 145.4 ypg (145th).
Frank Harris has been one of the best gun slingers in the country this season. The third year starter has been dominant this season, nearly leading UTSA to upsets over in-state powers Houston and Texas. Harris surpassed the 7,000-mark for his career in the win over FIU, and he’s going to give the Mean Green all they can handle here. Harris has thrown for 2,300 passing yards with 15 touchdowns to five interceptions, and he’s rushed for 244 yards and five scores through seven games.
Brendan Brady lines up alongside Harris in the backfield. The fifth-year senior leads UTSA with 405 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Harris has a great rapport with senior wideouts. De’Corian Clark now leads the bunch after surpassing last season’s total in the win over FIU with 678 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Josh Cephus leads the team in receptions (50), while gaining 604 yards. Zakhari Franklin is right behind them in both categories with 49 catches for 654 receiving yards and seven TDs.
North Texas is 5-2 against the spread this season, with a 2-1 record on the road. UTSA is 4-3 ATS this season, with a 1-3 record at home.
These two Lone Star schools contrast mightily in styles, and it should make for a great contest. This clash for the top spot in Conference USA should deliver a lot of points, but the magic number feels extremely massive here. While we may receive a shoutout in San Antonio, let’s see how many points these Texan schools can really put up, and test the under here.
