The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks and Army Black Knights face off on Saturday in a college football showdown at Michie Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2020 it was Army that secured that 37-7 victory,. 

Louisiana-Monroe comes into this game with a 2-5 record overall and in the last game against South Alabama they were defeated 41-34. The offense was strong scoring 34 points, but the defense gave up 41 points, and they were defeated. Under center for the Warhawks is Chandler Rogers and he completed 20 of his 27 passes for 371 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. Tyrone Howell caught nine passes for 244 yards and three touchdowns. Louisiana-Monroe is averaging 22.3 points while their defense is giving up 36.1 points per game. 

On the other side of this matchup is Army who sits with a 2-4 record and this has been a very disappointing season. In the last game against Colgate, the offense scored 42 points, and that led to an easy victory. Jemel Jones rushed 12 times for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Army runs the triple option and in the last game, they didn’t have any passing yards. The army is averaging 30.2 points while their defense is giving up 30.3 points per game. In this game, Army is going to need the defense to be strong. 

Louisiana-Monroe is 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games against a team with a losing record. Army is 1-5 against the spread in their last six home games. The over is 7-1 in Louisiana-Monroe's last eight games in October. The under is 4-0 in Army’s last four games following a straight up win. 

Louisiana-Monroe’s defense isn’t good, and I expect Army to find plenty of offensive success in this game. Even if they aren’t passing the ball, they are going to run wild in this game. I also am not thrilled with this Army defense, and Louisiana-Monroe is going to run up the score here. Look for this game to be high scoring, and the over is going to cash. I look for at least 60 points scored here.
