The Colorado Buffaloes will play the Air Force Falcons in a non-conference game at Falcon Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Colorado Buffaloes are 0-1 this season after losing to TCU by a score of 38-13 last week. Colorado took the lead in the first quarter and only trailed by one point at halftime, but TCU jumped on them and pulled away in the second half. J.T. Shrout threw for 157 yards and one touchdown in the Colorado loss. Brendon Lewis rushed for 42 yards, while Daniel Arias caught four passes for 66 yards for the Buffaloes. The Colorado defense gave up 413 yards and allowed TCU to go 2 for 2 on fourth down attempts.
The Air Force Falcons are 1-0 this season after beating Northern Iowa by a score of 48-17 in Week 1. Air Force dominated this game on the ground, rushing for 582 yards. Haaziq Daniels threw for 109 yards and one touchdown, while adding 107 yards and one touchdown on the ground for the Falcons. Brad Roberts rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown, while Dane Kinamon caught one pass for 80 yards and a touchdown for Air Force. The Air Force defense did give up 405 total yards, but also forced two turnovers in the win.
Colorado is 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games against the Mountain West and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games. The under is 17-5 in Colorado’s last 22 games against the Mountain West. Air Force is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games and 25-9 ATS in their last 34 non-conference games. The over is 5-0 in Air Force’s last 5 games.
Air Force was able to run all over the Northern Iowa defense and will give the Colorado defense trouble with the triple option attack. Neither defense looked great in Week 1, so I think we are going to see a good amount of points in this game. The Air Force ground game can chew some clock, but I still like the over in this game. I do think Air Force gets the big win here, but I am taking the over.
