The Oregon Ducks will play the Georgia Bulldogs in a non-conference game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Oregon Ducks were 10-4 last season and lost in the Alamo Bowl against Oklahoma by a score of 47-32. Oregon had a good season and made it to the PAC-12 Championship Game, where they lost to Utah by a score of 38-10. Bo Nix will be the quarterback for the Ducks, but he has struggled at times throughout his career. The Oregon offensive line should be one of the better lines in the country, but Oregon will have some new faces at the skill positions. On defense, Oregon should have another solid year, especially adding Dan Lanning, as the head coach.
The Georgia Bulldogs were 14-1 last season and defeated Alabama in the National Championship Game by a score of 33-18. Georgia defeated Michigan in the Orange Bowl by a score of 34-11. Georgia had a great team in 2021 and is expected to have another great team in 2022. Stetson Bennett returns as the Bulldogs’ quarterback and will lead an offense that is very balanced. Georgia does lose a few pieces from last year, but they will reload just like they usually do. On defense, Georgia should have another stellar unit that is at the top of the SEC. Like the offense, Georgia’s defense loses some talent, but they will be fine.
Oregon is 6-13 ATS in their last 19 games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games. Georgia is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games. The under is 5-1 in Georgia’s last 6 neutral site games and the under is 8-3 in Georgia’s last 11 games.
This is one of the best games that we get to watch on Saturday, but can Oregon pull off another upset like they did to Ohio State last year? Georgia was the best team in college football in 2021 and is expected to be one of the best team’s again this year. Bo Nix will get the start for Oregon and he has played this Georgia defense before, which may give him an advantage. I like the under in this game as both defenses should be good.
